Mrs. Will Woods of Walton has been the guest of Mrs. James Liver- more for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sarasas of Zurich visited with Mr. and Mrs Lloydon Walper on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs C. M. Shearing attended. the Norman -Ker wedding at Brownsville on Sunday evening, Mrs. Priscilla Schuch of Toronto who has been visiting her brother, Mr. Thomas Cook has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Miss DeIIe O'Neil returned to Tor- onto on Monday to resume teach- ing duties after spending her vacation here. Mr. and Mrs,, G. M.. Counter and Mrs. Ephriam Snell returned home on Sunday from Toronto where they had been attending the Ex- hibition. Mr. J. C. Shearer motored to Toronto on Monday evening, taking with him the Huron County Judging Team of girls who .participated in the Home Economics judging com- petition. Mr. Douglas Kennedy and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kennedy motored to Toronto on Saturday, taking with them the latter's grandsons, Teddy and Bob, who had spent the sum- mer vacation here. Mrs. Harriet A. Nye, who has been the guest of her' sisters, Mrs. Ar- thur Tyndall and Mrs. Andrew Porter during the past month bas left for her home in Orlando, Fla. En route to Clinton she visited her cony C. A. Nye of Chicago and also attended the World's Fair in New York. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Newcombe, Major and Mrs, Brock, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Evans and family of St. Marys; and Mr. and Mrs. William Holmes and family of Lucknow were weekend visitors at the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. S. Evans. Mrs, Holmes and family are remaining for a week's visit Among the visitors to Clinton the past week were three former resi- dents and Collegiate. students of several years ago: Mrs. W. J. R. Fowler and her sister, Miss. Eliza Izzard, of "Egmont", Guelph; and Mrs, E. J. Minett (formerly Willa Stout) of Toronto. At 7.30 all assembled in the dining room whick was beautifully decorated with flowers and a sumptuous dinner was served by Misses Clare Brunsdon, Erma Mair and Helen MacGregor. Following this Mr. and Mrs. Mac- Gregor were requested to unwrap their gifts, among which was a hand- some thirty-eight piece oak cabinet of anniversary silver. A silver an- niversary card with these verses was enclosed and read: Five and twenty varied years Of cloudy days and fair. Years of love and sacrifice Made sweet because you care; Five and twenty varied years Of plans and dreams come true. And may the future years you'll share Hold still more joys for you.
