l'W on's OLDEST BANK
1S
Canada's OLDEST BANK
SIXTY . YEARS ago on August lst, 1879,
Clinton welcomed the establishment of its firs
permanent banking office. Today, that office
is part of the nation-wide system of Canada's
oldest bank = the Bank of Montreal.
Just as the Bank of Montreal—now in its 122nd
year of active and uninterrupted service—has
been identified with every, phase of Canada's
economic development, so, through six decades,
its local office has aided and shared in the
growth of Clinton. to its present position of
importance in the thriving county of Huron.
