Church held their first meeting of
the season on Friday' evening in the
basement of the Church. Ruth Arthur
was in charge of the opening exer-
cises. Betty - Craig favored with a
solo accompanied by her sister, Da.
Vivian Straughan gave a piano in-
strumental and Mary Munro gave a
reading; a sing -song led by the girls
leader, Miss Dorothy Anderson;
Helen and June Marsh favored with
a duet.
Stewart. McBurney, load +superin-
tendent; of East Wawanosh is oper-
ating the new grader on the roads
of East Wawanosh township.
Edgar Lawson who owns a saw-
mill here shipped a large load of
lumber from the Auburn station on
Thursday.
John Hallam and Norman Hamil-
ton, both of Auburn, recently truck-
ed two large loads of potatoes to
Toronto.
Earl and George Raithby both of
Auburn have lost valuable cows this
week. The cause is unknown.
A meeting wa held is the Public
Library last night for the purpese•of
organizing a ball team. It was de-
cided to have a soft ball team this.

Work on. 100 -foot extension to: the
south pier at Kincardine harbor is
being rushed.: With fair weather
prevailing workmen hope to have all
the steel piling driven in five weeks',
time. After that, weather conditions

Harold Wolfe, 21, son of Mr, and
Mrs. Albert ` elfe, of Crediton, had
a vertebra fractured when a light
delivery truck he was driving went
out of control and threw him thro'
the top. He wies taken to London
for examination which showed the
broken bone in his back. Wolfe was
accompanied in the truck by Roy
Lotter and was on his' way home
from Mt. Carmel when the truck
struck a hole in the road that sent
it out of. control. He will be forced
to remain in a cast about six weeks.
