IIe was '.n his 99th. year. He was born in Cambridgeshire, England, where his family had been. millers for more than a century. He came to Canada when six years of age and started inti the milling trade when still a. boy. During his resi- dence here he was for a number of years head miller at Fair's Mill and had also worked in the same profes- sion .at Goderich. Besides his son, John, another son, (Wald III, and a .daughter, Mrs. William Hamblyn, reside in London.
