.The Annual Sunday -School Christ-
mas Tree and entertainment of St.
Jellies Church Middleton will be held
in the basement on Monday, Decem-
ber 19th at 8 p.m. sharp. Every-
body welcotne.
Due to illness in the community the
Christmas concert at the Gully School
has been cancelled.

S. S. No. 11 will be held Thursday
evening, December 22 at 8 p.m. You

' Dies in Saskatban
Word has been received here of
the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Emmer-
son, wife of W. J. Emmerson form-
erly of Goderich townehip and broth-
er of Fred, George, and John of this
place. Mrs. Emmerson passed away
at. her home, 809 Seventh Avenue,.
Saskatoon, Sask., on November 29th
and was buried in Woodlawn Ceme—
tery: of -that city. Mr. and Mrs. Em-
merson were married in Grandin, N.
D, where they resided till moving to
Saskatoon in the spring of 1904, later
moving to Vanscdp where they farm-
ed for many years. In 1927 they
retired front an active life on the
farm to make their home in Saska-
toon. Mrs. Emmerson leaves to mourn
her loss; her husband, a son Fred of
Saskatoon, and three daughters and
one son by a former Inarriage. She
was an active member of the United
Church and was widely known for
her excellent •needlework. She will
be greatly missed by a large circle
of friends.
