roller system came they had it in-
stalled. Mr. Cullis retired to Goderich
in 1892 then Albert Guilts, a son was
manager and he had an electric light
plant installed for the village, the
xharge was very cheap- 25 cents per
dight per month. There: was no horses
when the family came to this district,
oxen were used and the country was
nearly all bush. Mr. Cullis was the
'first to own a team -of horses. The
mill was burned in 1901: the Cullis
family then disposed ofthe property.
Albert Cullis ran a woollen mill at the
Soo which is still operated by his
son John. ,"Cash" went to the Soo also
and started a tobacco store and 1'1
