Miss Beattie leaves the end of the "'week for her home at Watford. Yin Beattie says she will be back for Old Home Week, August 1st., however. Higgins is home for it brief visit but intends taking a summer course in physical , culture during the vacation, before tasting up her work as teacher on the Guelph Col- legiate staff. Mrs. R. Dalrymple of • Moose Jaw and her daughter, Mrs. Horton of Madison, Sask., are visiting rela- tives in the vicinity. Mrs. Dal- rymple intends remaining for the Old Horne Week. Mr. `and'Mrs. W. Barge and son of Chicago, who had been visiting re- latives at Lncknow, called on Clin- ton friends one day last week. Mr. Barge served an apprenticeship with "Mr. R. Fitzsimons a number of years ago. Mr. and Mrs, Leslie Hanley of Tor- onto are visiting relatives in Clin- ton and vicinity and they leave on Monday for Pasadena, Calif., where they intend to locate. Mr. Henley's health is not first class and he. thinks a .change of climate will be a benefit to hini. Mr. and Mrs, G. D. McTaggart re- turned last week from a trip across the Atlantic. They visited various points in the British Isles and also France. It Was a most 'interesting trip and as both proved good sail- ors, the ocean voyage was not the least enjoyable part of it.
