Monday evening. Four prises were

a' devil's gowns, being adjudged wor

• Misses Mary • and Gene Andrews
gave a Hallowe'en party to a number
of their young friends on Tuesday
evening, thirty-six, boys and girls in
all.. A. jolly evening Was spent in
appropriate games and sports, fol-
lowed by delicious refreshments.
POPPY DAY
A Poppy Tag Day, in aid of the
disabled war veterans, will be held
in Clinton on Saturday, Nov. 9th.
Other years poppies were sold in
Clinton for outside organizations but
this year the local" branch of the
Canadian' Legion have secured a sup-
ply elf poppies • from the Christie
Street Hospital, Toronto, :and' will
conduit their ,own campaign..'

The grain was judged in the board
zoom of the local agricultural office,
