led in the passing of Harrison Lyon,

years, but recently has been residing -

Mr. Lyon had . been ailing for a
year but death came suddenly and un
expectedly as hewas going about
usual activiti'e's. He is surviWd by
his 'wife;- who Was formerly Miss
Martha Lear, and a family ' of six
daughters and two sons: Miss Maud
Lyon of Calgary; Alta., Mrs. Arthur
Kerslake, Exetore Mea„ Eldred Hol-

GODERIOIT: George Markley,
20, and Whiter Renwick, 20, of
Waterloo were sentenced ;on Monday-
to
ondayto one year in the Ontario reforma-
tory at Guelph as a result of several
roblieries to whichthey confessed,
Walter McLuhan, 23, of Stratford,
who took part in some of the rob-
beries, was sentenced to six months
in the Reformatory. The trio were
arrested late in September •'and re -
reeved their sentences Monday. The
robberies confessed are: Lydiat's
garage, Blyth; Rebut 1VileKay's gar-
age,' Blyth; ,Moffall's' hard'w'are store):
Wlroxeter; the private garage or
Gordon Gibson at. Wi-meter; and a
general store at Dr000ee, near Der-
ham. McLuiian was not implicated
in the last robbery.

but who had -experience in the dry -
goods business in Wingham, hes,
bought out the S. A. Gray business
here and takespossession at once.
