Mr, Harry Riley received the sad news last week of the death of his brother, Mr. Joe Riley, who died in the hospital at Newark, New Jersey. Mr, R. Brunet Township An interesting event took place on Friday, May 24th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ephriani Snell?, when their only son, James Robert Edgar, was christened by the Rev. 1 C. Harrison, rector of St. Paul's church, Clinton. Mrs. M. Stanley? Toronto, acted as godmother, and Doctor J. W. Shaw, Clinton. and Mr. Charles J. Shore, London, were godfathers. The christening was followed by- tea at which a number of friends and re- latives were present. The little lad is the first grandson ofthe' late Mr, .lames Snell, and will be, if he de- cides to do so, the fifth generation of the Shells to occupy the farm, and we hope that he will, in time to come do his best to l:eep up their good name.
