He was formerly pastor of the Leeburn Pres- byterian charge. ;'Surviving are his wife and two daughters who have the heartfelt sympathy of a host 'of friends. A private service was held at his late home„Newgate street, at twelve thirty 'o'dlock, conducted by Rev. C. F. Clarke pastor of the North street church, assisted by Rev. J. 11, Ford. At one o'clock a service was held in the North street 'United Church where a'large number gath- ered to pay their: last respects to a friend who had always been a devoted preacher of the Gospel Several nun isters attended and the choir was' present to lead in the singing of the hymns. The service was directed by Rev. J. E. Hogg of Clinton, chairman of the Presbytery), and addresses were given by Rev Mat. Bremner of Bruce - field, Rev. Neil ;Leckie, of Mother- well, and Rev.
