from Los Angeles, Cal., and are
spending a month with the lady's
parents, Mr. and Mrs, Wm, Clark,
Rattenbury street.
Mr. and MTs. Earl J. Wellwood of
Detroit spent the week -end with
Mrs. Weflwood's sister, Mrs. (Dr.)
illfelnnes, Misses Elnora and Irene
Melanes returned with them and
will spend a couple of weeks in
Detroit and Windsor.

son, Mr. Bert Marshall, returned
last week from a motor trip to
New York and Kingston. Mrs,

roll, of Kingston, accompanied

his work in Toronto last week af-
ter spending ten days or so at the
home of his sisters-in-law, Miss

to illness. Mrs. Sinclair is •still

spent Sunday 8n town with his
hvife, who has been in the Clinton
Haspitar for the past three weeks,
following an operation, and is now
convalescing at the home of her
sister; Mrs. Elizabeth Kennedy.

taskiwin, Alta., are expected this
week to visit the former's mother
in Clinton and the latter's -old
home in Exeter, •'before going on
to Halifax, N.S., to, attend the "con-
vention of the Canadian Weekly
Newspapers Association the second
week in September.'
