spent last week at the homes of her
sisters, Mrs. Won. Snell and Mrs,
Hm. Webster.
Miss Laura Snell is holidaying in
totwn, visiting at the home of her
cousin, Mrs. H. W. Charlesworth.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Kunlde and fam-
ily of Niagara Falls spent a few
days with the lady's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. E. Crawford, Mr. Crawford
being quite poorly at present.
Miss Nellie Webster of Dungannon
spent the past week at the home of
her brother, Mr. Archie Webster,
Mr. and Mrs. B, Ball have return-
ed to their farm on the 13th conces,
Sion, having lived for the past three
months in the village. Mr. Hall has
been wonting en the•new bridge.
Mrs. H. Moon who recently under-
went an operation in Clinton hospital
has so far recovered to be removed
to her home, her dang'hter, Mrs.
Pred Armstrong of Grimsby is talc,
ing care of her.
Mrs. C. Watson has returned after
visiting friends in Ottawa and oth-
er points.
Miss Helen Polly of London was
a guest of Mrs. W. Allen for a few
days recently.
Mr, Thos. H. Cole of Toronto who
has been visiting friends here was
called to Waterloo last Tuesday, his
mother having passed away.
The opening of the new bridge
brought thousands of people. It
was the largest crowd that Londes,
boro ever had. About 800 people had
supper at the Comntunity Hall which
kept the ladies on the hop to supply
their needs but considering the low
price, only 25e for supper and con-
cert, they sure had their money's
worth, about $180 was taken at the
door and $195 at the gate in the af-
ternoon. The day was beautiful and
was a success in every way.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fraser and
two children of Windsor, visited at
the home of Mr, and Mrs. Wm. Lyon
and called on other friends last
week.
Mrs. L. Sampson of Palmerston,
has returned home, after spending a
pleasant holiday with her sister,
Miss E. Lyon and other friends.
Miss Marjorie Lyon, R.N., who has
been visiting at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lyon am
her brother, Dr. E. Kirk Lyon, . of
Leamington, hasreturned to her dut-4
ies at Ottawa.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Tamblyn and
family of Toronto spent a few days
with the former's mother, Mrs. J.
Tamblyn.
Bruce Lyon of Detroit who has
been spending part of his holidays at
the home of his grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas Lyon returned to
his duties last week.
