The late Mr. Elgie was born in Stanley township, the second son of the late George W. Elgie, and Annie McKay. He spent his early years in Stanley township, and in 1903 went to Western Canada, eventually locat- ing at Davidson, Sask., where he engagedin farming. In April, 1910, he married Margaret E. McNair, and this union was blessed with two daughters, Norma (Mrs. H. E. Riggs) of Longvyorth, B.C., and Irene, at home. Twelve years ago, Mr. Elgie disposed of his farming and other in- terests at Davidson, and moved to the Pacific Coast, where he engaged. in business at Chilliwack, B.C., ,Vic- toria, B.C. and latterly at Vancouver. The funeral service was held in Kerrisdale, Funeral Home, Vancouv- er, April 18th -interment being made in Ocean VieWt Cemetery, same City..
