THE CLINTON NEWS -RECORD
Idle dollars mean idlo 'men, Busy
dollars mean work again. Busy dollars
are important, Busy dollars that do
their work at home are MOST im-
portant,
Somebody is born—somebody gets
married--Ooniebady has a birthday—.
ornebafty is a shut-in—somebody goes
on a trip -some happy girl is given
a shower—some happily married
couple have an anniversary—and
some are looking for just the proper
sentiment to express a "Thank -you„
that carries the loving' gratitude of
a pleased recipient. We have suit-
able cards for occasions, moderately
priced.
Let us all hope that prosperity is
"jug around the corner" some seem
to talk and act as though it was a-
around the coroner.
To the women of affairs, the know'
ledge 'that her writing paper meas-
ures up to the social importance of
her letters is most gratifying. Those
who choose Lotus Lawn as then per-
soal paper,', not only enjoy the comfort
'of its writing surface, but also have
the satisfaction of knowing that their
letters conform o the demands of
etiquette. It is not expensive.
• The so called depression is 'old stuff.
Did it exist in Shakespeare's time
when ho wrote "Who steals my purse
steals trash."
Influenza and .bridge are the two
greatest epidemics that have swept
our country. Of the two visitations,
bridge is taken more seriously by
those infected, enthusiasm for it has
extended to all civilized countries,
The craze is virulent in town and
connected with it we. suggest our
stock of playing cards, tally cards,
score tablets and prizes. •
