sung and also "Hark • the Herald
'Angels Sing.," Fiom Matthew 2:
verses 1 tq 11 were read; and the
carol, "While,.';Shepherds Watched
their Flocks by' N ght!? was sung and
again the Christmas story -was read
from Luke ,2, .verses 8- :to .20. Mrs.
Burton closed the • devotional period
with prayer and the Lord's Prayer
was repeated .'in unison,;; '
Mrs: 'WO Lawson ;then told how
the Chrastiiras carol, '"Silent Night,
Holy Night," originated, and then
sang the carol. Mrs. W. M. Aiken
contributed .a reading entitled "When
the Wise Men Appeared." The roll
call was answered. on -a verse of
Scripture• containing the word, "Joy.",
Mrs. D. M. Maltby introduced the
new study book telling, something of
the life of Dr. Currie.

"Cornfield's Melody," "Big Pot Pie,"
"In the Evening by .the Moonlight"
and "Far Away in Southland." Mrs.

A By-leaw to establish a Board of Park Management
WHEREAS a petition has been presented by certain electors
Part:of ths Act;e Town of Clinton praying for the adoption of The Public
AND WHEREAS the Council is desirous of giving effect to
the said petition.
BE. IT 'THEREFORE ENACTED by the Corporation of The
Town of Clinton:
1. The ;parks of the Town of Clinton shall be controlled and
managed by- a Board to be called "The Board of Park
Management” and the provisions of The Public Parks Act
are hereby eby adopted with relation ' thereto.
The said Board shall have the general management,
regulation and control of all existing parks in the Town of
Clinton and of such other lands, parks, avenues, boulevards

3. This By -late shall come into effect upon receiying the assent
of the electors qualified to vote at Municipal elections, 'and
upon its final passing afterreeeiving such assent.

Take notice that the above is a true copy of a proposed By -Lary
of the Corporation of the Town of. Clinton •to be submitted to the
votes of the electors on the 7th day of January A.D. 1946 between
the hours of nine o'clock in the forenoon and five o'clock in the
afternoon at the several polling places established for the taking of
votes for the annual Municipal Elections,
And that if the assent of the electors is obtained to the propoe&1
By -Law it will be taken into consideration by the CouneiI of the said
Corporation at a meeting therein to be held after the expiration of
one month from the date of the first publication of the notice and
that said first publication was made on the 6th day af December
A.D. 1945.
And that ,the Mayor will- attend at the office of the Town
Clerk at 1:30 o'clock in the .afternoon on the 31st day of December,
A.D 1945, for; the purpose of appointing persons to attend at the
polling places and at the first summing up of the votes by the Clerk.
