A plaque, representing the Ninth Victory Loan official insignia' and mounted, will be presented --one to the township and one to the town or village, that exceeds its quota on, the largest percentage at the end of Pie Loan. In the Eighth Victory Loan Cianapaign last spring, Brussels, under .the chairmanship of Robert tBowman, won the .plaque,_ followed closely by West Wawanosh and Wingham. Keen interest. in the Districts on winning the plaque have featured the past loans Salesmen Meet in Olhntoan The plaques were on display at a Huron County salesmen's dinner meeting held in Clinton Presbyterian Church Thursday,. evening last, when several chairmen stated that their own, districts. would be the successful winners of these attractive insignia. • Rev. W. A. Beecroft, Wingham, chairman of the County, executive, presided and gave a short inspirational address. "It is important to Canada -- it is important to Huron County — that the Ninth Victory Loan Campaign should be great success," he declared. H. A. Loudon, representative Victory Loan headquarters, gave a direct talk on "The tools for salesmanship," which he listed as follows: 1 --Character; 2—sincerity; 3—knowledge; 4—confidence or trust; 5-enthusiasm—real, honest, sincere; 6—observation;. 7—exploration; 8—tenacity; 9-a.good *`listener"; 10 -knowing when to "close"; 11—thoroughness.
