brother, Albert Aiken, prominent
business man, who died Thursday
last. Internment took place- in Tara
Cemetery Saturday afternoon.

The marriage was solemnized at
the United Church Manse, Varna, on
Wednesday afternoon, September 19,
• at two. o'clock, of Thelma Rose,
youngest daughter of Mr. A. Seotch-
mer, Bayfield Line, Goderich Town-
ship, to to Gordon D. &Scotchmer, young..
est son of Mr. and Mrs. J. ",Scotch-
k mer, Bronson. Line, Stanley ' Town-
ship. Rev. Reba Hern officiated.
The bride looked charming in a
pale blue fascinator crepe street -
length frock, blue ostrich plume hat
and matching gloves. Her; corsage
was of pink talisman roses and
forget-ine-not, and her only -orna-
ment was a string -of pearls; gift of
the groom.
The- young couple were attended
by the bride's sister and brother-in-
law,
rothel in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Cluff. Mrs.
Chuff chose powder blue, for . tier
co'stume with which she wore black
accessories and a corsage of red
roses.
Following the ceremony, a recep-
tion for thirty-five guests was held
at the home of the bride's parents
her step -mother receiving in. a navy
blue transparent velvet frock, Her
corsage was of peach gladioli: She
was assisted by the broom's mother
who wore black crepe with aqua'
blue and corsage of pink gladioli,.
The bridal table Was—, decorated
with pink', and white streamers gnt1
gladioli, centred :with • a three -
tiered wedding cake. Tea :wag poured.
