In reporting for the- Park Com-
mittee Councillor Shaddick stated
plans are under way for care of the
small Station Park and the surround-
inga of the fountain, Councillor Mc-
Murray reported on the . grading and
levelling of the new Park grounds
and preparation of the race 'track,
George McLay, treasurer of the
Park Commission,'. submitted an.
interesting report of the financial
status and progress up to, the pre-
sent date.
It was moved by Couneillor Nott
and seconded by ;Councillor Trewar-
tha • that the council guarantee the
cost of constructing the Park until
reimbursed by the Fark Board.
Counei'lor McMurray reported the
gravelling of certain streets and
that the scarifier had been used on
Mary and Orange :streets:.

ed on the cost of resurfacing cer-
tain streets and the street connnitteo
were directed to bring lee a report;
Reeve Falconer,• in reporting for the
property committee, stated that
necessary, repairs required for the
roof of the Hall, also stated steps'

Dumping ground clean up, the Reeve
stated his committee would take

Clinton Radio School
)Attains 225% of. Quota
The Clinton Radio School has " al-
ways exceeded, its quota ` in each
Victory Loan' and in the recent Loan,
its quota was 65,000. and the amount
subscribed was 146,250 which .mieant,
that the men of the R.C,A.F. 'and
the R.C.A.F. (WDp. set an •en-
viable. •record. This is one of the
highest percentages' raised in Huron
County'. during :the eight Victory
Loans. The campaign was under the
a)rle management of Flt. Lt. Basil
Pocklington. o

Blood Donors 17th Clinic
Miss Mary Ainslie, nurse technic
clan of Toronto was in charge of
the Clinic assisted by Mrs. W. A.
Oakes, local president of the Red
Cross. This was 'one of the *Bost
successful clinics' yet held ,with 139
donors reporting and 133 being ac-
cepted. Nurses were in charge . of
Mrs. Reddy and Doctors' in atten-
dance were Dr. Shaw, Dr. Oakes,
Dr. Addison, Dr. Thompson. '

next week's issue.
