at the piano, Mrs. Ninian Heard

by Mrs. Trewartha and two solos by
Mrs, Atkinson, playing her own
piano accompaniment were much
enjoyed.
Miss, Corp, of the Colle,g giate Staff,
gave a very interesting talk on,
"Spring Housecleaning", giving some
practical ideas for improving our
plans, while doing our spring house-
cleaning, and changing around of,
furniture, etc to a proper 'setting '
in the home. She gist) ' displayed
posters illustrating, her ideas in the
talk.
A vote of thanks was extended;
to those taking part in the program,
The meeting closed with the Nation-

On Monday - evening a Joint meet-
ing was` held in the. Scout H61L
On Tuesday , evening the Guides
and Scouts attended the Evening
Auxiliary "Skating Party",
On Friday evening, Feb, 23rd, the
Guides, Brownies and' Cubs .held a
"Parent Night" in the Scout Hall.
We Were pleased to ;see so many
parents interested enough ;in','the
organization to come out that night.
The meeting opened with a joint

Brownie demonstrations, during
Which a number of _girls were in-
vested as Brownies. They gave; the
Brownie Howl and were dismissed,
The Guides opened with inspection

"Q' Canada". 'The' minutes of the`
previous meetiitg. were 'read and
adopted. The roil call :was "The
name of an'Invention and the
ventor". • It was 'answered by eight-
een members and there -was-one
visitor:
During the business session,' it
was' decided to send' Easter bares to
the S. S. No. 4 ' Boys overseas. A
committee was appointed to pack
boxes, viz.'Marianne Merrill, ,Tose-
phine Muir and SOy Lobb,
A Prize donailed by Marianne
Merrill was sold 'by tickets ,and was.
won by Mrs. C. Williams.ng
The meeting was closed by'sing-
ing the Netiona} :Anthem.
A quilt was quilted ' during the
afternoon. Mrs, A, Hebden brought
in' two quilt tops which she pieced
from pieces "which had been left over
from' the_ sewing.; tnatei•ial for the
past year. Other work' was distribu-
ted, • .
