This was especially true of Vinegar Hill, at the northern entrance to the town, where many ears and trucks have been stuck during the past few days. Floods were 'produced by a com- bination of melting snow and rice and heavy downpours of rain, especially on Saturday. Evacuated by Boat Mrs. Hannah Glazier and her son Percy, who reside on a farm in Hui - lett, east of Clinton, 'were forced to take to the second storey of the house the water of the ,Maitland River hav- ing caused the water to iiise to a height of four feet downstairs.
