FIRST SCOLTT TROOP NEWS
Clinton Boy Scouts met with their
:sister group, fhe Clinton Guide Comp-
any, Wednesday evening, February
19, and hiked in Patrol order to the
-gulIey north-east of town. An en-
joyable hour was spent in toboggan-
ing down the fast slopes under the
stars, with Scouter Sam Castle busy
:as a beaver acting as Traffic Officer
:and Lieutenant Lois Connell and
Scouter Don Venton doing the push -
off duties. ,Suffering no more than a
scratched tip and a few rips in pants
(Scouter Don's included), we marched
back to the Hall to be greeted by
hot ;bowls of soup and crackers pre-
pared by Captain Mrs. Castle.
All agreed it had been a memorable
Scout -Guide Week outing. We were
dismissed until the Sunday church
parade with the Patrol Leaders hold-
ing a short 'Court of Honour after.
