Mrs. Hugh McConnell, which took

Memorial Hall, Blyth, with a largo
and very enthusiastic attendance,
Following the opening ceremonies, the
zone commander, N. W. Miller, God-
erich, introdueted Distriet Command-
er Thompson and District Secretary
Gellately, Kitchener.
The officers of the Clinton branch
officiated at the initiation of two
new members, 'Comrades Ball- and
Haynes, into Blyth Branch.
Mr. Thompson gave an inep3ring
and educational address regarding the
Legion aims and work, At the close
of his address he presented the
charter of Blyth branch to Dr. Kil-
patrick, who expressed his apprecia-
tion of the guidance Mr. Thompson
had given in his address. A short
talk was given by Mr. Gellately.
Following the meeting, the mein -
hers entertained their ladies, when
j'aimie Sims led in community sing-
ing, accomanied by Mrs. Leslie Naf-
tel, and games of euchre, cribbage,
and croldnole were enjoyed. .Miss
Coronna Wendorf, Clinton, sang two
solos, accompanied by MTS. E. Wen-
dorf. Those winning prizes were Mrs.
Leonard MeNall, and T. G. .Seribbins,
Clinton. Lunch was served.
