DIES AT HIS HOME
DASHWOOD-alIenven ,Restemayer,
esteemed resident of Dashwood, died
at his residence August 28 in his
69th year. He was born on the 14th
concession of Hay Township and liv-
ed in this community all his life. He
formed on the 14th concession for 33
years, retiring to Dashwooci six years
ago.

OBITUARY
JACOB FOWLER
Word has been received of the
death at Sarnia on Wednesday, Aug-
ust, 28, of Jacob Fowler, father of
Gordon Miller, Olinton. His
death came at the age of 85, three
weeks after he had suffered a fall
which fractured one hip. He was a
resident of Watford.
He is survived by three daughters
and one son: Mrs. R. B. Luckhaan,
Watford; Mrs. William Jenken, Point
Edward; Mrs. Miller; E'ston Fowler,
Sarnia; and by one sister, Mrs. J.
Williams, Shedden. His *wife died five
years ago.
The body is resting at the Harper
funeral home, Watford. where ser -
vitas will be held Friday at three p.m.
with Rev. E. C. Lacey in charge. In-
terment is to be in Watford cemetery.

local planing mill, entertained his
employees and their wives to a din-
ner at a vestaurant in Grand Bend.
Presentations were made to the old-
est employee of the staff, Louis Rink-
er, and the one employed for the
longest length of service, Stuart
Wolfe.
WLLLIAM SNELL
There passed away at his home a
highly esteeaned resident of Hullett
Township in the person of William
Snell in his 82nd year. He was born
June 15, 1865, the youngeat son of
the late George and Jane (Holmes)
Snell. Deceased had not been in
good health for the past three months
'and died Sunday, August 25.
On March 1, 1905, he married Anna
Maud Jenkins, Blyth, who predeceas-
ed him July 12, 1944. He is surs
vvide by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret
Snell, Excel, Alberta, and Mrs. Annie
Elsley, Benmiller, and • one brother,
James Snell, Nile.
Six chidren also survive—Laura,
Harry and Grant at home; Mrs. Fred
Boyce, Brucefield; Mrs. Barry Lang -
maid, Windsor; and Mrs. Gordon
Keys, Komoka. There are three
grandchildren, Ellen, Melva and
Stuart Boyce.
• Funeral services were held Tues-
day, August 27, conducted by his
nephew, Rev. Harold J. Snell, Aub-
urn. Following a short service at the
house, the funeral proceedd to Lon-
desboro United Church where a pub-
lic service was held. Mr. Snelb had
been a life-long member of this
church. Interment was made in Olin
-
ton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred
Loth, Holmesville; Harold Walker,
Wingham; Ephraim Snell, Clinton;
William Elsley, Benmiller; Jim Snell,
Nile; and John Snell, Londesboro.
The beautiful floral tributes were
carried blyf Howahal She1, Clinton;
Gordoa Heys, Komolca; Barry Lang -
maid, Windsor; Fred Boyce, Brace -
field; Raymond Snell, Londesboro;
and Ed. Irwin, Goderich.
