Labor Day Weekend
Railway Fares Reduced
Canadian railways are offering
reduced rail faros for the Labor Day
holiday period from Friday noon,
August 30, until midnight Tuesday,
September 2, it was announcer by J.
A. Brass, chairman of the Canadian
Passenger Association.
The special holiday fare will be
based on one and one-quarter single
fare for a round-trip ticket. Tickets
will be good for departure from noon
of Friday, August 30, until 2 p.m. of
Monday, September 1, and will be
honored for the return trip leaving
destination not later than midnight
of Tuesday, September 2. All times
listed are standard time.

MRS. MARGARET McLEAN
Mrs, Margaret McLean, widow of
the late D. B. McLean, a former well
known Hensall resident, died in a
London hospital Thursday, August
7, 1946.
Mrs. McLean suffered a fractured
hip in a fall recently from which she
never fully recovered. She was born
in Tuelteramith, the former Margaret
Ross, and lived in Hensell for many
years before going to London. She
was a member of Hensall United
Church.
Surviving are one son, Wilson Mc-
Lean, Chicago, Ill., and one sister,
Mrs MeFalls, St. Thomas.
Funeral services were held from
Hensall United Church Friday after-
noon, REV. James Anthony, Exeter,
officiating. Bdrial: was in Hensel'
Union Cemetery.
