Trailing for most of the nuttch, Colts staged a terrific eighth -inning rally which netted them six runs and went on to win the match 14-12. It was a match of home rune, there being no less than five by Clinton players, and one by Balfour, Hensall. Three of °Racing came in a row in the fourth, by Ken Miller, Alex Ken- nedy and Laurie Colquhoun. Bab Draper's homer in the eighth, with Colquhoun on base, followed by Fred MacDonald's four -bagger, tied the count at 11-11 in the eighth. It was one of the snanpiest .s•oftball games of the season. The teams, tied 6-6 in the match played at Union School Friday evening, and Goderich Township won 6-4 in the game played in Community Park, Clinton, Manday evening. Clinton 6--Goderich Twp. 6 Friday's fixture was late in start- ing because there was some misun- derstanding regarding the venue. Clinton girls waited here for God- erich Tbiwnship, and vice versa. Fin- ally, the teams managed to get in four innings in the Township, the Clinton girls leaving here by car at 8.30 pan.
