Solos Much Enjoyed
Howard Correll contributed ta the
United Church service on &relay two
solos whieh were much enjoyed by
all present. He came to Bayfield for
the weekend and brought with him his
wife and daughter Marilyn, his sister,
Mrs. David Proctor, and daughter
Faye. They returned to Toronto Sun-
day evening taking with them Mrs.
Graee Correll, their mother, who had
spent two weeks with her brother,
Rev. F. G. ,Stotesbury.
Successful Dance
A sucessful dance was held in the
Pavillion on Monday night through the
generosity of E. R. Weston. The af-
fair was under the auspices of the
committee in charge of the Bayfield
and Community Active Service Fund
and the music by the Bayfield Valley
Five Orchestra. The proceeds are to
go towards the purchasing of a mem-
orial plaque to those from this com-
munity who gave their lives in the
second world war. It will be placed
on the cairn in Clsun• Gregor Square.
The committee also hopes to raise

A large number gathered at -Col-
borne Cemetery Sunday evening for
the annual Decoration Service.

ors.
Rev. U. E. Cronhielm, in his sermon,
spoke of the various memorials in
cemeteries, some well -kept and some
neglected, exemplifying the inequality
of life itself. "Our works," he said,
"are our real monuments." The min-
ister made a plea that the nresent
generation strive to carry to fruition
the good works of our ancestors and
fulfil in our work those ideals, which
they began. •
H. A. Monists Chicago, a native
of Colborne Township, and a former
teacher of Beirmiller school, who has
been away from the district over 60
years, addressed the gathering, Mr.
Morrish expects to make Goderich his
permanent home in the near future.
Mrs. Howard Fowler and Mrs. Al-
lan Wilson rendered a duet, "Abide
With Me." Mrs. Long, Benrniller,
