Mr. and Mrs. Campbell Fraser and
family, who are occupying a cottage
'n Deer Lodge for the season, spent
last week in Mcnitreal where they
attended the 90th birthday of Mr.
Fraser's grandmother. On their re-
turn they were accompanied by Mr.
and Mrs. W. C. Hudson, Montreal.
Family Gathering
A family gathering was held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Middleton on Sunday in honour of Mr.
and Mrs. J. D. Leslie, Los Gatos,
Califorma, who have motored to On-
tario to spend the summer visiting
amongst relatives.
Those present were: Mrs. Leslie's
sister Mrs. James Johnston, and,
brothers, D. H. McNaughton, Hay-
field, and John McNaughton, London.

joyable picnic to Turnbull's Grove
Monday evening, June 24.
Decoration Services
Decoration services 'will be held in
Henson. on Sunday, June 30, at 2.30
p.m., under the auspices of the Can-
adian Legion and IDOiF. Wreaths will
be placed at the monument in Hensall
first, then veterans and lodge mem-
bers, will proceed to Henson Union
Cemetery, and from there to Mc-
Taggart's Cemetery. Veterans and
lodge members are asked to meet at
2.15 p.m.

Mrs. Reg. Ball Honored
The pupils and supporters of S.S.
No. 1, Goderich Township gathered
at the school house on Friday_ evening
last in honor of their teacher, Mrs.
Reg. Ball who has resigned to take
a position on Clinton Public School
staff.
After an evening of dancing, Mrs.
Ball was presented with a combina-
tion sewing basket, magazine rams
and footstool and a satin cushion by
the pupils. An appropriate address
was read by Ferne Potter, which was,
in part, as follows:
"Under your guidance during the
past four years, our school has be-
come one to be proud of and your
charming personality has been a
pleasant example for us to follow.
We have enjoyed our school days
with you and will always remember
the good times we have had together.
We want you to know that we ap-
preciate the ldndly interest you have

Knox United Church last Sunday. The
church was decorated with baskets of
summer flowers. Canaries were plac-
ed among the flowers. A children's
choir, with Mrs. R. D. Munro pre-
siding at the organ and Miss Vivian
Straughan at the piano, led in the
service of song and rendered several
slumbers. Rev. H. J. Snell gave the
message.
