WILLIAM M. WEBSTJ31
The funeral of William McKenzie
Webster, who passed away on Friday,
May 17, in his 77th year, was held
Sunday afternoon from the home of
his sister, Mrs, G, E, Savilib, Rev.
Andrew Lane officiated. Interment
tools place in Blyth Union Cemetery,
Pallbearers were Joseph Lyon,
Ralph Caldwell, Meredith Young,
William Addison, Bert Shobbroo]c, all
of Londesboro district; Percy Riley,
Clinton. Friends and relatives were
present from Blyth, Londesboro, Clin-
ton and surrounding district.
Mr. Webster was born January 0,
1870, a son of the late Mr. and 'Mrs.
James Webster.. Ile spent his entire
lifetime farming on the homestead on
which .he was born' in Hulled; Town-
ship until three years ago when he
retired to Clinton,
He was an ardent church. workev
and was identified with the Presby-
terian, later United Church. While
on the farm he attended Londesboro
United Church and when he carte to,
Clinton was identified with Wesley -
Willis United Church, For a number;
of years he served the Londesboro
church as elder and member of the
official board, and was a teacher and
later superintendent of the Sunday
School. He was known to be one of
the most obliging men in the district.
Death came following an illness of
two months
As a young man he married Hattie
Jenkins who survives, as well as one
brother and two sisters: Joseph Web-
ster, Mrs. G. E. ,Saville and Mrs.
Albert Vodrlen,• all of Clinton, also
five nieces.
