COUNTY ROAD EQUIPMENT
According to County. Engineer T.,,
Roy Patterson,. Goderich, the county ;
road equipment will be used to coo:
plete Clinton's Community PCerk, in-
eluding a racetrack. The work was
started last year.
The equipment also., is being used
to improve the race track at Exeter,
where a new bandstand is being:•can-
!strueted, and space levelled for a
baseball field,
In anticipation of the International
Plowing Match being held at the Port
Albert Airport in October. the Town-
ship of Ashfield is .seeking the as-
sistance of the county road eomm,s-
sion to have thetownship roads im-
proved.
No new bridgework will be under-
taken by Huron County Road Com-
mission this Year,, because of the
stortage of lumber and steel.
. STUDYING COURT (LOUSES
In order to study the construction
of and accommodation in buildings
similar to the proposed new Court
House in, Goderich, the property com-
mittee of Huron County Council
visited London and St. Thomas on
Thursday last. The committee is
composed of Reeves Aleck Watson,
J. E. Pepper, J. F. Daly; Deputy -
Reeve George MaeEwan; Reeve Stan-
ley Machan, and Warden R. _E. Shad -
dick.

GODERIICII—The biggest haul of
fish caughtthis season was made by
McKay Brothers April 1, when their
nets held two and a half tons of
perch. It was an all night job extri-
cating them from the nets, as each,
fish is handled separately. They were
prepared and shipped to outside
points.

$2,000 GRANT
EXETER --Exeter Lions Club, after
holding a special meeting, decided to
donate $2,000 to the Huron Agrieul-
tural Society for recreation purposes.
The plan provides for a grandstand
now being completed, ',barns for farm
animals for use at fair time, the grad-
ing and seeding of the ground, form-
ing of a ball diamond, tennis court,
parking lot and swings for smaller
children, also to provide park benches
and ornamental trees.

10 miles of vitrified tile sewer pipe
varying in size from 6 inches to 15
inches in diameter, including house
connections and 2,400' feet of 6 inch
cast iron force maiil'a id construction
of 160 concrete manholes.
Contract B: Construction of a
mechanical aerator -clarifier activated
sludge type sewage treatment plant
and sewage pumping station with all
appurtenances.
Tile pipe, cast iron pipe and manhole
frames and covers and all mechanical
equipment for treatment plant and
pumping station supplied by the Corp-
oration.

plainly marked on the outside as to
contract and contents. Plans, specifi-
cations and form of tender may be

$25.00. Such deposit is to be in the
form of an accepted cheque made
