RACED AT GODERICH
Two Clinton horses took part
in the races at Goderich last
Wednesday, Ross McEwan's
"Merlee," a two-year-old, ran
fifth in two heats in the 2.28
trot or pace, but was drawn in
the third heat. Len Guy's "Thee
Maid", placed fourth in all three
heats in the 2.24 trot or pace.
Due to a heavy rainfall earlier in
the day, the track was very
heavy and no records were even
touched in the four events run

ball League Intermediate "B"
playoffs when they lost at Gode-
rich 12-1 last night.
The first genie at Goderich last
week first was awarded to Gode-
rich on account of a continued
dispute over the umpire's decis-
ion, but the League ordered a
re -play.
The second game in Clinton
Monday evening resulted in an
8-6 victory for Goderich, al-
though Don Robertson racked up
no less than 13 strikeouts for
RCAF and the, Airmenouthit the
visitors 11-8. Box score of this

The third game in Goderich
last night finished the Clinton
