Mrs. Fairservice and Mrs. Town-
send read the several passages
of Scripture with the singing of
verses of hymns 717 and 286,
followed by prayer. Mrs. Rud -
dell took up the offering, Miss
Phyllis McCool sang a pleasing
solo, "The Stranger of Galilee,"
with Mrs. Brenton at the piano.
Prayers were offered by Mrs.
Beacom, Mrs. Watson and Mrs.
Govier, Mrs. E, Wood contrib-
uted a fine instrumental, "That
Will be Glory for Me," in varia-
tions, Mrs. R. Townsend conduct-
ed the devotional period. Psalm
766 was read in unison, A few
minutes of silent meditation was
observed on hymns 774, verses
1, 2, 4, in memory of a faithful
and honored member of the WMS
in the late departed Mrs. Fred
Shobbrook, who will be sadly
missed by all.
The Lord's prayer was then re-
peated in unison. The question
of sending a bale overseas was.
discussed. Good used ilothing'
and bedding, also new articles
for children will be gratefully
received. Leave articles with
Mrs. W, Lyon, Miss P. McCool
read an article on "Total Ab-
stinence." A hymn was sung,
and meeting dismissed.
