"RIPSNORTIN' DUEL"
(Stratford Beacon -Herald)
The guy with the cast-iron
larynx was king Tuesday night at
the Classic City Arena, as 2,750
wild puck enthusiasts rattled the
hockey hippodrome with a rauc-
ous cascade of cheers and jeers
as Milverton outscrapped Clinton
RCAF 7-5 to even their OHA
Intermediate "B" finals at a game
apiece.
It was a ripsnortin' hockey duel
throughout the three sessions and
a great scoring rush by Milver-
ton, which netted them a quartet
of third -period counters, gave
them the duke.
A specibl train carried 800•
Clinton fans to the game and cars
and buses swelled the crowd that.
was almost, entirely from out of
town. '
Excitement was at fever pitch
in the third period, when Mil-
verton turned on the pressure and.
heated words and swinging fists
among the crowd added to the
uproar..
Both teams were dead -tired at
the end of the game as they had
gon6 all out for the entire 60
minutes -of bruising hockey,,
DASIIWOOD WINS
