Interesting Meeting

• The W.A. of Clinton Presby-
terian Church met in the Sunday
School room on ;Tuesday, March
1, with a good attendance. A,
quilt was ready and the ladies
present worked at it. The presi-
dent, Mrs, W. Shaddock, was in
the chair and conducted a short
business period,
• A hymn was sung. Mrs. Stied -
dock read the Scripture lesson
and offered. prayer. The secre-
tary -treasurer, Mrs. Maxwell,
read her reports. Following the
Iroll call, the bazaar to be held
ron June 11, was discussed. Each
lady was asked to .bring a parcel
for the bazaar at the next meet,
ng. Hosbasses for April are Nlrs.
Cook and Mrs. McEwen. Oreo
new member was welcomed by
tfie ladies. A hymn and the re-
peating of the Lord's Prayer in
ur ison closed the meeting.
Mrs. Shaddock, Miss Shaw and
Mrs. Maxwell served refreshments
and the remainder of the after-
noon was spent in quilting.

The March meeting of the
� Women's Association of Wesley -
Willis United Church was held on
Thursday afternoon, March 3, in
the Church parlour. The presi-
dent, Mrs. W. A. Oakes, was in
Ithe chair and Mrs. HI Charles-
worth was pianist.
The opening hymn was "O God

the last meeting. Mrs. George
Beattie gave the financial report.
The. corresponding secretary, Mrs.
William Murch road a number

flowers; cards and letters sent to
the sick of the congregation, and
to mothers of new babies. Mrs.
John Nediger, Jr,, gave the
,flower report.
The four group leaders — Mrs.
Frank Andrews, Mrs. B. B. Pock-
lington, Mrs. Charles Nelson and
Mrs. Harold Adams—told of the
sewing done for• the Novelty
booth.
Arrangements were completed
for the. St. Petrick's Tea which
is being held on Saturday after-
noon, March 12, in the lecture
room of the church,
The hymn "Go labour on," and
the Mizpah Benediction brought
the meeting to- a close. After-
noon tea was served by Mrs.
Charles Nelson's group.
