erston Midgets out of WOAA
competition last night in a wide-
open fast hockey match in Wing -
ham Arena.
Coach. Doug Bartliff's charges
were forced to go 19 minutes',
Overtime before Jerry Holmes
banged in the winning goal on
an assist from Cam Maltby. It
was a sudden-a^aah affair.

Friday' evening last.
The game saw hard rugged
hockey on •a• • good sheet of ice.
It appeared that Clinton • held the
edge throughout the game, by
playing both defensive and of-
fensive hockey, Nine penalties
were handedotit by Referee Gor-
don Muir, with LaFrance for
Clinton drawing a major.
Individuals from both bides dis-
played' some fine brand of hoc-
key. Cunningham, Gossell and
Melanson playing defence for
Clinton displayed some fine art
of hockey by notching a goel
respectively. Harris and Cook for
Centralia were the outstanding
figures on the ice for their team.

Stepping on the ice with a one -
game lead under their belts,
Clinton RCAF nosed out Cent-
ralia RCAF 7-6 in overtime in
a semi finial playoff OHA. Inter-
mediate "B" hockey game play-
ed in Clinton Lions Arena Mon-
day evening. This made two
wins in a best -of -three series.
The Clinton boys took the lead from any further competition in

Old Home Week 1950
As the 75th Anniversary of the Incorporation.
at Clinton as a Town will take place in 1950. there
is a move on foot to celebrate this occasion with are
Old I-Iome Week.
An Old Home Week Committee has been ap-
pointed by Clinton and District Chamber of Commerce
to conduct a preliminary survey as to the advisability
of holding. such a Reunion. The Committee is loathe
to take 'any' 'definite action before ascertaining !the
attitude of the people of the community.
Within a few days .al public meeting will be
called to discuss the matter. If popular feeling is fav-
orable, an organization for conducting an Old Home
Week, may be set up.
Please think this over and feel free to voice your
opinion All organizations in the community also are
requested' to cooperate.
