Proceeds of the Carnival will, be used by the Lions Club to carry on and extend welfare work in the community which has been undertaken since the organization of the Club a year and a halt ago. A year ago, the Lions Club leased the former Agricultural Park for a term of years, and in the meantime, has spent several hundreds of dollars in worthwhile improvements, such as electric wiring, grading the race track, etc. An open air skating rink for the children was operated very suc- cessfully last year. One of the projects of the Club is to improve the skating rink during next winter, and also to make necessary repairs to the building.
