Birthday Party
About 30 boys and girls gather-
ed at the home of Me., and Mrs
Warren . Gibbings` on. Friday e't-
ternoon, April 301 when 'a lovely
party was held in honour of Ken
Gibbings' 12th birthday. The first
event was a ball game which
was thoroughly enjoyed and later
the children sst down to a wond-
erfuI supper which was tapped
off with the usual birthday cake
After supper the young folks en-
joyed a splendid sing -song.

Mr. and; Mrs: A. Pepper Feted
A pleasant evening was spent
in S.S. No. 4 Tuckersmith, when
neighbours and friends gathered
for a farewell party in honour of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pepper who
are leaving the community to
make their home in Seaforth.
The first part of the evening
was spent playing progressive
euchre, prizes being awarded to
Mrs. Barnes, Toronto, and Gregor.
McGregor. Mr. and Mrs. Pepper
were called to the platform and
presented with a beautiful Ken-
wood blanket, a table lamp and
a smoking set, Sam Whitmore
read the address which was in
Part:
"It is with regret that we learn
that circumstances have made it
necessary for ,you to move from
this neighbourhood, where you
have spent practically all your
lives. You have been good friends
and neighbours, and we have all
been helped by you when we
needed it most We wish you
good health and happiness in your
new home and trust that Divine
Providence will give you health
and strength and that you may
spend many enjoyable year to-
gether!'
Mr. and Mrs. Pepper both re-
plied with a few words of thanks
after which a delicious lunch was
served. ,
