Mr. Thomas paid a very high tribute to Mr. Pryde, and recalled the splendid' impression he made when he took his seat in the Leg- islature and spoke in the Throne debate. He had acquainted him- self very creditably under very difficult circumstances. "I think the kindest thing I can 'say is that he is conscientious, and that I havefound him to be a real fine Christian gentleman. I can say nothing finer about any man," he declared.
