Barn Completely
Destroyed by Fire
The large bank barn on the
farm. of John M. Craig, conces-
sion 7, Morris Township, five
miles east of Blyth, was complet-
ely destroyed by fire early Tues-
day morning, with all its con-
tents, including 35 tons of hay,
several thousand bushels of grain,
tractor, combine, and other farm
implements, also ten or 12 pigs.
The origin of the fire is un-
known. The fire was discovered
around 2 a.m. by Thomas Kelly,
a neighbour across the road, who
ran across and awakened Mr.
and Mrs. Craig.
Blyth fire brigade was called
immediately, but the fire had
made such headway, nothing
could be done to save the barn
or contents,
