In- terment Regina, Sask., Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 4. a Barn Completely Destroyed by Fire The large bank barn on the farm. of John M. Craig, conces- sion 7, Morris Township, five miles east of Blyth, was complet- ely destroyed by fire early Tues- day morning, with all its con- tents, including 35 tons of hay, several thousand bushels of grain, tractor, combine, and other farm implements, also ten or 12 pigs. The origin of the fire is un- known. The fire was discovered around 2 a.m. by Thomas Kelly, a neighbour across the road, who ran across and awakened Mr. and Mrs. Craig. Mrs. Parke, widow of John L, Parke, who passed away June 8, 1951, in St. Anne's hospital, Here dishy, 'at the age of 87, was born near Clinton in Stanley Township. She was married to John L. Parke in 1897 and in 1900 they moved to Manitoba and in 1910 to Hughenden, Alba. She is survived by one..daugh- ter: Mrs. Joseph Matineau, Ed- monton, Alta., and one son, Leonard, on the homestead; ten grandchildren; and one brother, Adam Stewart, Stanley Town- ship. A wealth of floral tributes and other memorials attested to the esteem in which deceased was held. MRS. MARY OWEN Mrs. Mary Owen, a resident of St. Thomas for 27 years, died in St. Thomas Memorial Hospi- tal Saturday afternoon, Septem- ber 8. She had been in ill health for several months. She was the 'widow of Leon- ard A. Owen, who conducted an upholstering and furniture repair business in St. Thomas for many years. Born in Clinton 74 years ago, Mrs. Owen and her husband had resided in Ingersoll for some years before moving to St. Thomas. She was a member of the Ply- mouth Brethren and was active in the work of the Brethren prior to her illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, September 10, at the P. R. Williams and Son Funeral Home by A. Berry, Chat- ham. Ltterment was made in Elandale Memorial Park, St. Thomas, ST.
