completed her studies, returned

The Mission Band will hold
its meeting next Sunday, May
20, at 10 am. in the basement
of the church.
WMS Holds Meeting
The regular meeting of the
WMS was held lest Thursday af-
ternoon with. Mrs. F, Tamblyn
presiding. Articles which had
been made and donated were on
exhibition such as quilts, sheets
and children's clothing. A picture
in odors "Sunrise in Japan" was
shown which was quite interest-
ing and instructive. Mrs. Grier-
son read and explained each scene
as it was shown. There were
other features, such es a "skit"
in which several ladies took pert.

Londesboro Women's Institute
held its regular meeting in the
Community Hall with Mrs, Robert
Feirservice in the chair. The
meeting opened with "0 Canada"
and all repeating the Institute

Prayer.
After the business was conduct-
ed, the roll call was taken. Every-
one was to have an antique and

A delightful afternoon tea was
held at the home of Mrs. Ted
Davies on Thursday afternoon lest
under the auspices of the Trinity
Club. For this occasion the
house was beautifully decorated
with. forsythia, daffodils and
other spring flowers. A large
bouquet of marsh Marigolds on
the stairs met the eye as one
entered. On a low table in the
living -room was a beautiful large
artistic arrangement of daffodils
and narcissi in front of the fire-
place. The tea table was done
in lace centred with a bouquet
of hyacinths with a silver tea
service at each end.
The guests were received by
Mrs. Davies end entertained, in
the living room by several of the
members before being taken to
the dining -room far tea. Mrs. J.
president and Mrs. Rhynes, Public
Relations Administrator, of the
Hospital Auxiliary Association of
Ontario, attended the annual
Florence Nightingale Day at
Alexandra and Marine Hospital,
Goderich,' on Saturday, where
they presented honorry life mem-
berships to Miss Amelia McLean,
en octogenarian, of the Goderich
Township branch, and Mrs. F.
Redditt, a former president, in
acknowledgement of their services
to the Goderich Hospital Auxil-
iary. The ceremony took place
let the Nurses' home which' was
followed by a Florence Night-
ingale Tea.
Mrs. Rhynas who devotes con-
