FERGUSON Funeral services were held at the Beattie -McRoberts Funeral Horne, Rattenbury St. E„ Clinton, on Monday afternoon, April 2, 1951, for Alice E. Render, belov- ed wife of the late William James k'erguaon. Rev. R. M. P. Bukeel officiated, and interment followed in Clinton Cemetery. Pallbearers were . Leslie . Pearson, Walter Forbes, Lorne Jervis, Harry Thompson and Herb Jenkins, all foorner neighbours, and Clarence 'Rath, Bluevale. . Mrs. Ferguson was born in •Goderich Township and lived the greater pert of here life there. Following the death. of her hus- band in. 1936 she moved to Clin- lo , residing here until a few years ago when .she. ,made her home with members of her fam- ily in Toronto end London. She was • in her 70th year. In relfl ion, Mrs Ferguson was an Ang- lican, being far many years con- nected with St. Paul's Anglican Church, Mrs, Ferguson's death occurred at the home of her daughter, 145 Devonshire Ave., London, on Saturday, March 31, following a lengthy illness. Surviving are two sons, Glen and Oliver Ferguson, . both of. Toronto, one daughter, Elsie, Mrs. Alvin Middleton, London, and five grandchildren. MRS. ALBERT KEMP Funeral services were held alt the A. Millard George Funeral Home, London! Ica Wednesday, April , 4, 1951, with Rev. G. C. Hussen officiating, for Charlotte Easom, beloved wife of Albert Kemp. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In her 75th year, Mrs. Kemp was born near Londesboro, a daughter of the late Mr. and,Mrs. George Easom. She had been a resident 'of London for the past 49 years moving there after re- siding in Clinton for several years. She was an active mem- ber of Hyatt Avenue' United Church. Mr. and Mss. Kemp celebrated their golden wedding armiversary in December 1948. Mrs. Kemp's death occurred in Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, April 2, following an illnessof two weeks. Surviving as well es her hus- band, Albert Kemp, 72 Beacons- field Ave., London, are one son, George, London, and four grand- children, Mrs. Leslie Claxton, Mrs. William Munro, Mrs. Alan Reade and Albert, all of Lon-. don, and itwo great grand- children. Also there are three sisters, Mrs. George Duncan, De- troit; Mrs. Neil Brown, Stratford, and Miss Minnie Easom, London; and three brothers, David' Easom, Clinton; John Easom, Edgeworth, Sask.; and Alfred Easom, in the State of Washington. GEORGE McKAY Funeral services for Mrs. George McKay, 72, who died sud- denly at the home of her daugh- ter, Mrs. Frank Kirkby, Walton, were conducted there Monday af- ternoon, April 2, by Rev. It. G. She was bore near Orangeville add following her marriage she and her husband farmed near Auburn, later retiring to Code - rich, where they lived five years. Surviving are two sons, Wil- liam, ;Dundas; Lundy, Auburn; and three daughters, Mrs. Adolph Mueller, Brunner; Mrs. Frank Kirkby, Walton, and Mrs. Wil- liam Moss, Auburn. SAMUEL K., ROSS 'Samuel K. Ross, 89, for many years a well known painter 'and decorator at Exeter, died Monday, April 2 at Clinton. He is survived by several nieces end nephews in Exeter district. a Funeral service was conducted Wednesday afternoon, April 4, by Rev. H. J. Mahoney, Main Street United Church, and interment made in Exeter Cemetery. A. B. CRAWFORD Resident of London for the past 32 years, Alfred Bertram (Bert) Crawford, died Wednes- day, April 4,' in Victoria Hospi- tal, London, after a lengthy ill- ness. He was 76. Mr. Crawford was born in the Clinton district, son of tile late' Cutcher and Matilda Crawford. Later, he moved to St, Thomas and then to Guelph where he spent most of his childhood and youth. He began his career as a sales- man with Heintzman and Cor- pany in Toronto and London. He subsequently moved to Hamilton where he was employed by e lithographing firm and from there went to Montreal. In 1919 he moved to London to enter the piano and phonograph business with his father and brother, the late B. S. Crawford. During the war be worked a. Central Aircraft and since then has been retired. Mr. Crawford married the for- mer Mabel Kelly Karanarh, Wichita Falls, Texas, who sur-. vtves. Also surviving are a step- son, J. D. Kavanagh, London, and a step -daughter, Mrs. , W. L. Gamble, Wichita Falls. Priv to his illness, Mr. Craw- ford lived. at 126 Kent Street, An Anglican, he was a 32nd degree Mason, a manner of Temple Lodge, Scottish 1.3.a9. lie also was a member of the Orig- inals Club. EMMA THOMPSON (By our Bayfield correspondent) The death occurred in Windsor on Wednesday, March 28, 1951, of Mns, Emma Thompson; a for- mer resident of Stanley Town- ship, in her 81St year. she was a daughter of the late John Greer and Laura Fields who Came from Gerrie and settled 'on the Bronson Line in the early • 11870's.. In 1889 she was married to Charles Thompson, Chatham, I who predeceased her in 1934.Lat- ely, she had resided with her son Benjamin Thompson in Windsor. She Is survived by her five .children: Lloyd, Lockhart and F rank, 'Chatham; Benjamin, Windsor; and Mabel (Mrs. Quin ,ton Fick), Ottawa; also a sister, ;Mrs. Sarah Johnston, Nekoma, ND.; and a 'brother, Joseph Greer, Stratford. The funeral service was held from the Morris Windsor Chapel, Windsor, on Saturday, and inter - 'meat took place in Chatham Cemetery at four o'clock.
