Macaulay. Mrs. Brown is spend-
ing some time with her niece.

last week at the home of Mr. and

St. Andrew's Girls'
Club Holds Meeting
HENSALL
The February meeting of the
Girls' Club of St. Andrew's Pres-
byterian Church was held in the
Sunday School room of the
church, The meeting opened with
the singing of a hymn. •
Mrs. W. C. Newcombe read the
23rd psalm, followed by the sing-
ing of another hymn and the
Lord's Prayer repeated in unison.
The minutes were read and
adopted and Mrs. Frank Mace
gave the treasurer's report. A
short business meeting followed.
The meeting closed with the
Mizpah Bendeiction after which
the hostesses, Mus. Frank Mutch,
Miss Mabel Harvey and Mrs. Dict
Jacob, served a lovely. lundh.

Lodge Anniversary
Commemorating their se;onid
anniversary, Amber Rebekah
Lodge, Hensall, entertained as
their guests the Eidelweiss Re-
bekah Lodge, Seaforth, to theme
birthday party held in the lodge
hall Wednesday evening, Febru-
ary 21, with over 70 present.
During the regular meeting, pre-
sided over by Mrs. Evelyn Mc -
Beath, Noble Grand, it was de-
eided to hold a baking sale end
afternoon tea in the elute room
of the lodge hall. It also was
disclosed that the regalia for the
degree work is being ordered.
Mrs. William Brown and Mrs.
Harold Bell favoured with a vo-
cal duett, `Bless This House,"
and Miss M. Ellis contributed a
humorous reading. Bingo was
one of the highlights of the af-
fair for which P. L. McNaughton
was master of ceremonies. Win-
ners were: Mrs. G. Eaton,'1VieS.

candy, made and donated by Mrs.
Sam Ronnie, won by Mrs. Byron
Kyle. Proceeds of this draw, a-
mounting to $12.70, will be donat-
ed to the C. P. and T. Fund.
Mrs. William Brown was in
charge of the draw. Mrs. E.
Willis, Seafoeth, was the winner
of the, lucky cup.
Luncheon was served including
a birthday cake Which centred
the lace -covered table, decorated
with pink and -green tapers, lodge
colors. The cake was cut by Mrs.
Evelyn McBeath, Noble Grand,of
Amber Lodge. Mrs. Alex Boyce,
Seafeeth, Past District Deputy
President, spoke bniefly and mov-
ed a vote of thanks. Mrs: D.
McLean, Noble Grand of Eidel-
weiss Lodge, also spoke. Conven-
ers for the various projects were:

The next regular meeting of
Murphy Loyal Orange Lodge No.
710 will be held on Thursday,
-March 8, at 8 p.m. At this meet-
ing, two candidates win be in-

all members to be present so that
final errangements can be made
for the annual At -Home which is
to be held 'in Clinton District
Collegiate Institute on Wednes-
day, Mareh 21.

A very pleasing event took
place during the Sunday School
session of Clinton Baptist Church
oh Sunday, when a life member-
ship in the Mission Band was
presented. Mary Jean Faye
Aikenhead was the little girl
thus honoured, and Mrs, R. T.
Gemmell made the presentation.

The WA of Ontario St. United
Church will meet on Tuesday,
March 6, at 3 p.m,, in the Church
Hall. The ladies of St. James'
Ward, convened by Mrs. Ross and
Mrs. C. Vonnenr, will serve lunch.
Mrs. Iddo Crich end Mrs. Vernier
will be in charge of the program.
