CLINTON AND

CLOSE BATTLE
(By Laurie Coiquhoun)
Clinton Colts continued their
winning streak in OHA Intermed -
ate "B" hockey by defeating
Mitchell Legionnaires 10-4 at
Seafonth Memorial Arena Thurs-
day evening last. This was the
second defeat for.Mitohell by the.
Clalhs.
Coach "Punch" McEwan's boys
are playing good hockey now—
entirely different than their ef-
fort'in the pre -season series.
Only two minor penalties were
handed out in this clean, fast
game.
Due to injuries to Harry Mc-
Ewen and Don Strong, the lines
were shuffled for this game. Doug
Bartliff was moved up from de-
fence to centre between Draper
and Counter, and gave one of the
best exhibitions of hockey seen
this season. He scored four goals
throughout the game. The Maltby
Bios.-Edgar line accounted for
five goals -Cam getting three of
them, Clare and Edgar one each.
Each of their goals came as the
result of lovely passing plays.
Clarence Neilans played his best
hockey to date—collecting three
assists and one goal, as well as
Colts only penalty. Bill Nediger
again was sensational in goal as
wee Chessel in the Mitchell goal
who stopped numerous sure goals
despite the ten which did go by
him.
