Clinton defeated Zurich 11-1 in
a . Western Ontario Badminton
Association "C"`league contest on
the Clinton Town Half courts
Tuesday evening, winning all sets
except the third ladies' doubles.
It is Zurich's first year in
organized, badminton, aid the
players are all beginners, but
'are making effort to improve
their play.
Results were as follows:
Ladies' doubles -I. Gascho and
D. Stade (Z) lost to Muriel El-
liott and Mary Brown. (C), 11-15,
7-15; ` S. Fairbairn and P. gess
(Z) lost to Elva McEwan and
Marie Scott (C), 6-15, 6-15; R.
Decher and B. Gascho (Z) de-
feated Edith Pepper and Eileen

Three -Way Tie Now
In Badminton `B"
As a result of Wednesday
niighit)s match ion `the Roundel
Terrace courts at RCAF Station,
Clinton, there now exists a three-
way tie for the leadership of the
Western Ontario Badminton . As-
sociation "B" league series among
Stratford, Exeter and Clinton
RCAF, each club having six
points.
The triple tie came about when
Clinton RCAF trimmed the hith-
erto undefeated Exeter team 10-2,
capturing all three men's and
three ladies' doubles, and taking
the mixed doubles four sets to.
two.

Clinton' Colts split a pair of
games in the pre -season inter-
mediate hockey series during the
past week, winning at Seaforth
9-6 Saturday evening, but losing
at Goderieh in ten minutes'• over-
time by 7-6 Monday evening.
Three, matches are left on the
Colt schedule --at Goderich Fri-
day evening, and two with Cent-
ralia RCAF next week. Colts
already 'have been eliminated
from the top spat. •

Parked Vehicles
In accordance with Bylaw No. 20 of:.the Town
of Clinton. for, 1949, and at the request of the Town
. Cousxeil, I hereby, Call upon motorists to . keep the streets
free of parked vehicles at stipulated Periods forthepurpose
of street clamping and snow removal.'.
May I emphasize the following provisions of the
Bylaw;
(1) No personal shall leave a vehicle of any kind
parked on the streets of the Town of Clinton between
the hours of 12• p.m. and 7 a.m.;
(2) That for the purposes of street cleaning and
snow removal, the Chief of Police is hereby em-
powered, at any time during the day or night, to
remove any vehicle from any street„
(3) That any costs incurred in removing a vehicle
shall be borne by the owner thereof;
(4) That any person contravening any of the pip -
visions of this Bylaw shall be liable to, a'f fine of
not' more than $10, exclusive of costs, for each in-
fraction thereof.
