Damage at Bayfield
The hydro was off from 5 am,
to' 1 p.m., owing to the severe
wind and electrical storm which
hit this district early Monday
morning. There was a regular
cloudburst of rain. Limbs of
trees were blown off on Main'
Street and took hydroand tele-
phone wires with them.
A transformer was burned out
in the local telephone office
which necessitated hand wiring
until the part could be procured
from Toronto. There were only
two wires in ' operation out of
Bayfield and many local and
rural telephones were out of com-
mission all morning.

IT WILL MAKE
There's going to be a new factory
TT' out on River Road. It will make
1111
I I a big difference to the town—
another payroll', more jobs, more
opportunity, more business for merchants.
When the local bank manager was' asked
for facts about the town as a possible
factory site, he got them—fast. After a
while things worked out.
Now the town, has a new industry.; The
bank manager has a new customer. Soon he
will be servicing the factory's payrolls,
extending seasonal credit, making
collections, supplying market information
.. doing all the things a local bank
manager is trained to do.
It is a part of hisjob to help his
community grow.
