Cantata, "Claudia", or "The Risen
Lord," which was a .three -act
drama, and very inspiring
throughout. Those who were in
the caste were Doreen Armstrong,.
Gail 'Manning, Mrs. T. Allen,
Mrs. C. Vincent, Mr. C, Vincent,
Harry Lear, Grant Snell, Jack
Webster, Kenneth Wood, with
Mrs. Brenton at the organ. The
settings were quite attractive and
the solos and singing very ap-

Londesboro WI Meets .
The first meeting of the newly
re -organized Londesboro Wom-
an's Institute was held in the
Community Hall, Londesboro, on
Thursday afternoon, April 6, Mrs.
Radford from Clinton, played the
piano while the ladies were as-
sembling, Mrs. }l. Fairservice,
the president, was in the . chair.
Meeting opened by singing two
verses of "0 Canada", the Insti-
tute Ode, and the Lord's Pray-
er. Mra Scrimgeour, Blyth, in-
stalled the new ' officers, end
Mrs. Radford favored with an
instrumental. Mrs. Bennett, wife
of the Agricultural Representative
of Clinton, sang two lovely solos,
"Morning" and "At Dawning."
The story of the "first" Institute
at Stoney Creek. was given by
Mrs. Fangrad, her mother being a
charter member of that Institute,
and also an account of the B6fh
anniversary, which Mrs. Fangrad
attended. The roll call was an-
swered by paying of fees, and a
number of suggestions were given
as to what the members would
be most interested in the coming
year.
Phyllis McCool sang 'a solo,
"Forever and Ever".; this was
followed by short sing -song led
by Mrs. Brenton, Donald Griese
sang a solo, followed by an amus-
ing duett by Donald and Bobby
Griese, Miss Margaret Brophy,
Winghami gave a very pleasing
talk on `Publicity." Mrs. Rad-
ford gave an instrumental, fol-
lowed by God Save the King. A
delicious pot -luck supper was
served . in the basement of the
hall,

presided for the annual meeting
of Dungannon Agricultural So-
ciety. The new executive consists
of: president, Gordon Stewart;
vice-presidents, ' Howard Sproul,
John Bennett; secretary -treasurer,
Marvin Durnin. The 1950 fair
will be held either September 29
or October 6.
