Bob Carbert, Wingham, introduc-
ed the guest speaker, Jan Schok-
king, who is a member of the Ont-
ario Farm Forum Council and the
owner and operator of a large
farm in eastern Ontario. A native
of Holland, `the speaker told of
his and his wife's experience in
seeking a home in Kenya, Africa,
"In the past 50. years civilization
has been brought to the natives
of Central Africa," he said; "they
have passed from the stone age to
the plastic age in a very short
space of time." This, he continued,
has ,been cited as the cause for.
much of the unrest among the
natives.
Appreciation was extended to
the speakker and his wife, who also
spoke, by Harold Wilkinson, Bel -
grave.
Douglas McNeil, R.R. 6, Gode-
rich, president of the Huron
County Federation of Agriculture,
brought greetings. George Watt,
Blyth Farmers Co -Operative, spoke
on behalf of the co-operatives in
Huron county that assist the for-
ums in financing the banquet. The
banquet was catered to by the
Blyth chapter of the Order of the
Eastern Star.

Managers Formed
Twenty-three farmers from Sou-
th Huron met here to elect an ex-
ecutive
xecutive and hear Professor Art
Robertson, farm management ex-
pert, of O.A.C., Guelph.
The group is one of two farm
business management, associations
in the county, organized by agri-
cultural representative G. W. Mont
gomery.

Refuge harbour
At Kincardine
Consideration of a plan to de-
velop a harbour of refuge at Kin-
cardine has been promised by
Public Works Minister R. H. Win-
ters, said Joseph Chilver.•s, chair-
man of Kincardine Harbour De
velopment Commission.
Brief Presented
The commission met Mn Win-
ters. in Ottawa and presented a
brief expounding the need of such
harbour on the eastern store of
Lake Huron and proposing the de-
velopment be on sufficient scale to
provide anchorage for any size
vessel which might be using the
Great Lakes,
