The forum thought the simplest farm records would be to have a book and keep all the receipts on one page and all the expenditures on another page.. The farmer should keep receipts on -file for everything' he purchases or sells. Advantage would be to know you should file income tax and give the farmer an opportunity to assess the cost of prodd tion. It would make budgeting much eas- ier if farm accounts are kept in order. Detailed. 'records help the far- mer to know whether he is pro- gressing and ro-gressing,and what type of fanning he could hest benefit by. The ord- inary farmer or his wife does not have much time to keep such a detailed record unless they have a good record book, and a detailed farm 'accounting system would be more practical on the farms where accredited herds are kept, or where farmers desire an R.O.P. Progressive euchre 'was played., Winners were' ladies' first, : Char- les s Ra in b son; ladies' consolation, Miss Margaret 1Mousseau;,gentle men's first, Wilfred Mousseau; consolation, Carl Reichert. The next' meeting will be held at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Gor- don Love. The topic fol• discus- sion will be "Retirement Plans for. Farmers." LIVE WIRE FORUM (By Mrs. Bert Shobbrook) • The Live ., Wire Farm Forum met on Monday night, November 28, at the home -of Mr. -and Mrs., Lorne Humklng with 16 present. It was decided that a ,simple set of records of incotne could be kept without any difficulty to tell whether a profit is made or not; also to meet income tax purposes and raise production on. profitable dines. The chairman conducted the business period. It was moved for the chairman and his wife,. the secretary and her, husband to at- tend the annual meeting -for Hu- ron uroe C-oounty Farm: Forums to be held in Blyth Hall on December 17, and bring back a report,• The next meeting to be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Huniting. FRIENDLY FEW The Friendly Few Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Jewitt. Despite the wea- ther there was a good attendance. The discussion was on "Keeping Farm Accounts." The groups decided we should keep a simple farm account to see that the income was as good as the outlay for the farmer. The advantage of keeping accounts was to help plan for the next step whether on a large or small scale. Progressive euchre was played with prizes going to: high, Mrs. 'William Dale, Frank Riley; low, Deanna Dale, Ronnie Jewitt. Lunch was served by Mrs. Jewett and Joyce, Mr. and,- Mrs. Frank Riley invited the. Forum to their home for next meeting. FIRESIDE FORUM (By Mrs. William Dobnage) The Fireside Farm Fordm of Mullett Township, met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Hoggart with a fairly small at- tendance, ttendance, probaby due to the stormy night. The forum decided that if a person obtains a faun account book from the Department of Agriculture and properly fills, it in, it forms a good record. M: ,M. M M M M `M M M BRING LAYERS 'BACK TO. PEAK.
