Sale -Raises Sum
For Pioneer Park

An,` original and interesting
event was—held "at the home of
Dr. and Mrs, R, G. Hunter on
Friday afternoon last in the form
of a children's' auction sale, .con-
ducted by 'children for children
only.; Between 40 and 50 attend-
ed and bidding was keen.
Although it was under the sup-
ervision of Mrs. Hunter and Miss'
Mary Alice Hunter, this novel
idea was carried out- in proper
business. style. Pamela Fellows,
Georgia Forster, Janet Burch and
Sally Beth'Hunter tool' turns' in
acting as auctioneer, clerk'and
cashier, for the sale of articles
which they had collected. The
clerk's list and cashier's receipts
were duly checked and audited by

that they have a part in it too, as
they, carried coolie drinks to the
workers and; handed" their Dad
boards. Other members of the
building committee and congrega-
tion have been turning out six, to
12- strong to give a hand in the
evenings after their own day's
work.

Tea and Bazaar
A' successful tea and bazaar was
held on the lawn at the home of
Mrs. J. J. Richardson on Friday
afternoon. -The home -baking table
was well patronized, and the ladies
of Knox Presbyterian Church real-
ized. a good sum for church work.
