Burial service for Edward John
Schnell,
Ball Bayfield,
utch funeral
Clinton on Thursday afternoon,
July 21, It was conducted by the
Rev, J. Winter, pastor of St. Pet-
er's Lutheran Church, Zurich, of
which the deceased man badbeena member.
Pallbearers were: Elgin Porter,
Ivan Steckle, Bert Bick, Emerson
Heard, William Heard and William
Clark. Interment was made in
Bayfield Cemetery.
Edward John Schnell Was barn
March 6, 1878, in Zurich, being a
son of the late John Schnell and
Elizabeth Webber.
As a- young man he went west
and farmed in Saskatchewan near
Moose Jaw. He retired about 30
year ago and returned to Zurich.
Twenty years ago, he was mar-
ried to Miss Charlotte Peck, and
they made their home in the cot-
tage on the corner of the Bronson
Line and Bayfield Concession Road
where they had resided ever since.
Although ailing since May with
a'heart condition M. Schnell was
a patient hi Clinton Public Hospi-
tal for only five days previous to
his death on Monday night, July
18,
Besides his widow, he is surviv-
ed by a brother, Elton Schnell, a
sister (Mrs. Halliday), three
nieces and a nephew, Detroit.
Among the relatives from a dist-
ance who attended the funeral
were Mr. and Mrs. Elton Schnell,
Mrs. Harry Olmstead, Mrs. De-
croker and Mrs. Ethel Rallis, De-
troit.

rich Pavilion last Wednesday.
Mrs. A. Rollinson attended the
funeral of her brother-in-law, Wil-
liam Ferguson, Windsor, who pas-
sed away suddenly last Saturday.
